James Leonard Hewitson – Only The Noise Will Save Me (BEFFECT011)
Smart and savvy DIY alt-indie at its best for fans of Adam Green and Jonathan Richman. Archly lyrical and careful of wit, James and his band strike a beautiful balance between northern town romanticism and the challenges of growing up in Brexit Britain. Subtly political and socially aware, awash with fuzz guitar and the occasional trumpet.
